This week on Making the Best of Today: The Road to Recovery
I've discussed the various battles and struggles that one goes through. I've talked about giving the gift of forgiveness. We've said "enough" and began to "play it forward." Now, let's embark on the wonderful journey towards "The Road to Recovery." Regina uses the letter R to give several steps on how to begin the journey of a new life. She shares how we are all prophets of our own lives. It can be whatever we desire it to be. Regina encourages all to start to begin the journey with her. "I'm ready. I believe you are as well."

Making the Best of Today

Put the past behind you and give "The Gift of Forgiveness."
Regina's discussion deals with information taken from Charles Stanley's book by the same name. In the broadcast, Regina discusses how one can forgive someone for any and everything and move on in life. The Gift of Forgiveness benefits both the donor as well as the donee and sets one free to move on with life. If you're dealing with bitterness, frustrations, anger or any negative emotion due to things others have done to you, give the gift setting you and other free.

Regina discusses with upcoming authors Robert Nubine and Emily Mixon their book, "Life From a Teenagers Perspective." Each tells a bit of their story to encourage teens and inform adults of some of the challenges children, and teens face. Additionally, they discuss their love for dance and so many other things. You definitely want to listen to this show if you are a teen facing challenges. You will be encouraged. If you are an adult that thinks that maybe kids don't really know anything, you are in for a rude awakening.

ENOUGH! In the 2002 movie, "Enough," Jennifer Lopez or Slim went through an abusive relationship with her spouse. One day she woke up and said "enough" and set about making changes to defeat the enemy in her life. And she did. Are you ready to say enough in your life and defeat the enemies that have come against you? Today is your day as Regina encourages you to take charge of your life and your destiny.

Pay It Forward: Practice Random Acts of Kindness. What can we do to help ease the financial load that we carry in today's times? With random acts of kindness. Even small things make a difference. The movie "Pay it Forward is one of my favorites." It has a wonderful message. A teacher gives an assignment to his 7th grade class. It was no small feat. The assignment was to think of ways to change the world and to make it happen. One student, Trevor, took the task very seriously. He took a homeless person and drug addict into his home. Trevor's plan was to help 3 people and these 3 people help 3, and so on... and kindness spread throughout. Find out more on Making the Best of Today.

What time is it in your life? Is it time for a Change? Have you looked at yourself lately? I mean really looked at YOU. Do you say to yourself in certain situations… It's not that bad? Well, maybe it really is and it’s time for a change.

Are there some people and things in your life you know that it’s time to let go? Well, Regina encourages you to do so and do it now. This message is for those who have been holding on to destructive habits/relationships that prevents them from moving forward. Pastor Snead’s message is “I Almost Let Go.” Regina encourages us to let go of what’s holding you back. Pastor Snead encourages one to hold on to what God has given.
